Man Up & Girl Rising from Rangeview
Ryan Sladek and Samantha Westerdale(both are pictured) joined our meeting and received a donation from our Rotary club to support their respective programs. Samantha has been helping girls with her Girls Rising program for the last 6 years. The boys program is fairly new, but Ryan is excited about the program and looking for help in 2019. Toys Request
The Salvation Army will be donating toys to approximately 10,000 kids this year between the ages of 1-15 years in Aurora. Last day to donate toys will be Wednesday, 19th. Please do not wrap the gifts.
Any toys would be appreciated, and know that they will be making a child very Happy this Christmas!
Help with Bell Ringing

Jeff Cuneo, Executive Director of the Colorado Juvenile Defender Center was our speaker on Wednesday. Jeff is an attorney in private practice in Denver. He specializes in juvenile delinquency and criminal matters. A fairly recent transplant to the state, Mr. Cuneo was an Assistant Public Defender in Sacramento County, California for 10 years. He handled everything from homicides to petty offenses, and focused his practice on representing juveniles facing charges in adult court. Mr. Cuneo was the Program Director for the Placer County Re-entry Program, where he implemented a program assisting and providing resources to recently released inmates. He was elected to, and served as a Trustee on the Sacramento City Unified School District Board of Education. He is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum. He currently serves as a member of both the Denver Great Kids Head Start Policy Council and the Denver Early Childhood Policy Committee.
The Colorado Juvenile Defender Center is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring excellence in juvenile defense and advocacy and justice for all children and youth in Colorado.
CJDC strives to elevate the practice of juvenile defense and advocacy, by holding up juvenile defense as a skilled specialty practice, presenting continuing legal education seminars, developing resources and materials for juvenile defenders and advocates, and by supporting indigent defense through ongoing litigation support and assistance.
CJDC seeks to protect the rights and improve the treatment of children and youth in the juvenile justice system through public advocacy, community organizing, non-partisan research, and policy development.
