Casino Night

Kimberly  Armitage
Casino Night was Saturday May 13  starting
at 6:00 in Bob Barrows barn. There
were 6 professional dealers and
professional equipment . Members
had $500 of play money and did their
best.  The dealers helped the newbies
get started and the old pros rolled on.;

                                                                          Ken Hostetler
Ken asked the members to honor their
commitments (RSVP).  If it turns out
there is a conflict, email Kimberly
Armitage or the event organizer so
they can deal with the change to the
                              menu etc.

      Swiss Exchange Student

Laurine Deprez, our Swiss exchange student
gave her presentation.  The computer worked
this time.   Laurine started skiing when she was
tw0.  She is an expert skier and belongs to
the Olympic and professional teams in
Switzerland.   Her first host mom was there
and she thanked her.  She also made mention
of club members that took her to events.  Of
particular mention was Ric Martin who
brought her to meetings.  Joel Kruschwitz'
family was her second host family.  Craig
Wagner, Bill Wiggins, Bob Barrows, and
                                     Kimberly Armitage got special mention.
Kimberly was the exchange student counselor
at the District Conference.   Laurine's parents
came here and they took a trip to Hawaii.
Laurine's dad is a photographer and her mom
is a special ed teacher.  She was asked to tell
about how classes were conducted in Switzerland.
Her first language is French but the teachers
conduct the classes in German.  Laurine did
a nice job on her presentation.

                                                                                      Golf Tournament

Jim Bickford, Golf Chair, said it was
time to start forming and registering
foursomes for the golf tournament on                                                                   July 17 at Heritage Eaglebend.
