        Vocational Talks
Phil Gibson graduated from CSU.    His first job was  with Shell Oil in Texas.  This is where he got introduced to  the health industry.  He was in sales selling pharmaceuticals to the health industry.  He enjoyed this because he is  "people person".   it was also because he felt he was helping people.

He now works for "People Care" a provider of  health services.    People Care is a Licensed Home Care Agency that is dedicated to patient satisfaction. Whenever you need care, wherever you need care...at home or in a hospital,   They provide registered nurses that work under guidance of  the patient's physician .

Phil has been married to Beth for 27 years.  They have three children.

They have a daughter going to  Creighton, a son going to
University of Wyoming, and a teen age boy that will be graduating from high school.

                                        Art Wolfe

Art started his talk with a profound quotation:

"The unexamined life is not  worth living and  the unlived  life is not worth examining.”, an amended Plato quote.

Art Wolfe's family lived in Connecticut. When he was 12, his parents  divorced .  Art’s church and the people in that community were instrumental in the development of Art’s drive to ‘social responsibility’ and the beginning of his learning how to give back.  The church not only provided support and caring, but was instrumental in allowing his family to stay together.

Art received a number of grants and scholarships  that enabled him to go to Rutgers where he got a degree in forestry

After meeting in Chicagoland, he and Michelle married in 1995.   She was working as a HumanResources Manager for the city of Naperviille , Illinois .   In 2000, Michelle & Art spent almost a month, two trips, in Russia as they adopted their two sons, Alek & Jasha.

Michelle got a job offer as  Deputy City Manager  in Aurora  in 2008.   That's when  they  moved here

Art has his own business with Edward Jones as a financial advisor.  He enjoys working with younger people and helping them map a  plan that will enable a successful retirement.

Artvolunteers with a number of agencies and is on several boards, the YMCA and Aurora Community Connection getting the majority of his time. He enjoys tutoring and mentoring youth and dedicates a great deal of time ‘giving back’.

Art closed with a Muhamad Ali Quote, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”

Joel said that his dad had been president of his Eagles Club.Joel feels that way about Rotary.

Joel wants to concentrate on membership.

He would like the club to have a signature
project.  He is open to suggestions on that.
