                      President Patti Bateman conducted the meeting.
                        270 people attended the meeting.
 
Flower Power is scheduled for February 12.
On Sunday, February 12 members  (about 5)
go to the Denver Convention Center and start
pulling flowers and plants from the exhibits
and load them into semis.
On Monday,  February 13,  Paul Suss and
members load the plants and flowers into a
truck Paul furnishes.  They take the plants and
flowers to 2 nursing homes, meet 5 members
at each nursing home, unload the 
truck, and distribute them to residents

 Col. David Miller, Jr.
460th Space Wing Commander
        Buckley Air Force Base
 
 
                          
Col. Miller joined the Air Force in 1993 and is a
graduate of Lafayette College in Easton , Pa.
Buckley is about 1/3 built out so has plenty of
room to expand. Current plans include bringing
medical services back to the base.
To that end a new dental clinic building is
being built.  The entrance on 6th avenue is
being modified so trucks will have
a different entrance. 
The Mission Statement is:  Maximize missile
warning throughOverhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR)
operations and deliver outstanding installation support.
Col. Miller highlighted a number of airmen who
represent the priorities 0f the base.
Buckley spends $ 900 million a year in the local
economy and is the second largest employer in the
state with  4,000 jobs.
Col. Miller said "We are members of the community."
 He said the Colorado Air National Guard maintain
mission ready aircraft to respond to state
catastrophies and emergencies.
Co. Miller thanked Aurora and said "We continue
to rely on good support from our local community
to be successful at Buckley AFB"

presented him with an Aurora Rotary  flag and a
