Vocationals

Arlen Cohn, club president 91-92, talked about his long history in clothing retail. He went in business with his parents and had a number of stores along Colfax, a strip mall at Yale and I-25 renting tuxes and also a bridal shop, and a store in the Aurora Mall. Arlen currently works for Nordstrom in the credit department.

Joe Little, owner with his wife Janine, of Body Beautiful Collision Repair, spoke of his frustration with the image of auto body repair about 3 years ago. In a proactive way, Joe and Janine, took a class from PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass) that was transformative. Since taking the class and figuring a way to share this vision with his employees, Joe instituted a team concept. What used to take 2 weeks to complete a repair can now be done in 2-3 days with several techs working on the same job. Body Beautiful Collison Repair has been recognized as #1 in Colorado and #4 in the country.

Ken Hostetler, club president 06-07, has worked since he was 12 years old. He was born at Fitzsimmons when his dad was stationed here in the Air Force. They moved a lot. For a time they had two airplanes and Ken learned to fly. He graduated with a degree in Range Management and Forestry. He was a pioneer in Urban Forestry with the City of Aurora. Ken had a range of employers which he illustrated with a Power Point that showed all the jobs he has held. Ken said that since he had no childhood, he is having one now enjoying skiing, biking, hiking and napping.
His designation now is Ken Hostetler HD (Honey Dos)
