Debbie Lynch

Debbie Lynch announced details of State of the CityShe distributed assigned seating tickets to members who requested seating with one of the table sponsors

-

President Susan gave special recognition to Debbie and her team of Dave Williams, Bob Broom, and Brad Pierce,  who have sold 41 tables plus Title sponsors, Lennar and Wells Fargo and Reception sponsor Merrick.

Fox Hollow Elementary Choir

The choir is attentive as they are directed by Gwen Waldman and accompanied on keyboard by her husband David Waldman.

There were 90 students, 3rd to 5th grade, that sang 10 selections that included:

The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Friendship, Stepping Out With My Baby, and Let There Be Peace.

The choir was well-rehearsed, disciplined, and very poised.  The choreography accompanying the songs was delightful and a lot of fun.

There were four solo groups (quartets and quintets) that were spotlighted.

Kimberly Armitage arranged the program.

Richard Niezen

Kimberly Armitage on behalf of The Aurora Rotary Foundation presented a check for $1,500 to The Aurora Symphony Director Richard Niezen.

President Susan announced that the Aurora Gateway Interact Club received $500 from The Aurora Rotary Foundation in recognition of their Empty Bowls project and the $2000 they donated to the Haiti Relief Fund Shelter Box Project.

Skip Schlenk filled in for Debbie Lynch as supervisor (on an emergency basis).  She was assisted by Allen Kirkman, Jr., Bill Wiggins, Ev Sequeira, and Ev's nephew, Emanuel.

Save the Date

Bob Barrows

Bob Barrows announced that Ida Asp, our Swedish Exchange Student, will be graduating with the Smoky Hill senior class Friday May 28 at Denver University at noon.  To attend, it is necessary to get one of the tickets that has been allotted to Ida.

Bob said that there will be a bar be cue at his home at 5:00 PM following the graduation.  Everyone is invited.  Details and directions will follow.
