AURORA ROTARY FOUNDATION The Aurora Rotary Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Colorado on April 2, 1982 as a Nonprofit Corporation. The Foundation was organized exclusively for charitable, civic and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation received a Federal Tax exempt 501 (c) (3) status from the Internal Revenue Service on May 16, 1983. The Aurora Rotary Foundation is a not for profit corporation that supports the local efforts of the Rotary Club of Aurora. The mission of the Foundation is to support the projects and donations of the Rotary Club of Aurora in its fulfillment of Rotary's local charitable, civic and educational goals. Since being incorporated the Foundation has and continues to support numerous groups, scholarships and projects. Among the groups supported are The Comitis Crisis Center, Gateway Battered Women Shelter, The YMCA and The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Civic projects like the Aurora Fire Department Life Safety Trailer are supported by the Foundation. Educational needs of our community are supported by projects like The Rotary Club of Aurora's Live and Learn Project and annual Scholarships to each of the Six-area High Schools to the Community College of Aurora. The Foundation supports these community needs through fund raising efforts of the Rotary Club of Aurora and through voluntary donations from individuals, organizations and businesses.
